Across the Ditch: A Culmination of New Zealand & Australia’s Best Seafood
Onslow NZ’s Josh Emett teams up with Executive Chef Jason Staudt for an exclusive one-off event this October. Join us for the unmissable lunch Tuesday October 4 at Stokehouse. The two talented chefs are joining forces for a spectacular 4-course seafood-led lunch on St Kilda Beach celebrating the very best of New Zealand & Australian produce.
We are thrilled to be welcoming NZ native Josh Emett to the Stokehouse kitchen. Prior to starting Onslow and The Oyster Inn, Josh earned international acclaim having previously worked at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay (London), The Savoy Grill (London), and Gordon Ramsay at The London (New York & West Hollywood).
The exclusive $195pp menu includes a welcome drink on arrival, a special ‘Across the Ditch’ style seafood platter, entree, main and dessert. This special event is a true collaborative affair, with Emett and Staudt working together alongside their respective teams – Onslow Head Chef Glen File and Stokehouse Head Chef Mark Wong – to create a menu that focuses on sustainably sourced seafood.
Guests can expect a riff on our famous seafood platter. Combining only the highest quality produce from both New Zealand and Australia, the platter will incorporate iconic Onslow bites including the Crayfish Éclair. For an entrée – a staple on the Onslow menu – the Big Glory Bay Salmon, will be served alongside burnt butter sauce, pickled onion and chilli oil. Mains will highlight pan seared Aquna Murray Cod with bluff paua, squid ink and karengo. No long lunch is complete without dessert, prepare to indulge in a Hokey Pokey ice cream sandwich, Anzac biscuit & chocolate mousse designed as the ultimate finale to your meal.
*Please note, menu may be subject to seasonal change.
In addition to the stunning menu, a selection of New Zealand wines from Stokehouse’s extensive wine list will be available for pairing, selected by Head Sommelier Wil Martin.
Group bookings are encouraged, and due to the nature of the event, bookings for two or less may be seated with other bookings. You can secure your spot at the special event here.
Please note the T’s & C’s associated with this event upon reserving.
